Dermal fillers

Natural contour and volume, planned one to one with our nurse prescriber.

Nurse-led dermal filler treatment at Face Facts Aesthetics in Whitley Bay

What it is

Dermal fillers use a hyaluronic acid gel to restore volume, smooth deeper lines and gently refine the contours of the face. Because hyaluronic acid holds water and occurs naturally in the skin, results look and feel soft. At Face Facts, filler is used thoughtfully to support your natural features, the cheeks, jawline and chin, and the areas that change as we age, rather than to alter how you look.

Who it is suitable for

○You have noticed a loss of volume or definition over time
○You would like softer, more balanced contours
○You want to smooth deeper folds or lines
○You are looking for gradual, natural change rather than a dramatic one

Why a qualified nurse performs it

Because dermal filler is placed with an understanding of the blood vessels and structure beneath the skin, who performs it genuinely matters. Every treatment at Face Facts is carried out by a qualified, registered nurse. Barbara Foggo is a registered nurse and independent nurse prescriber, and Faye Wright is a nurse prescriber, so your assessment, treatment and aftercare stay with one clinically trained professional throughout.

Common questions

How long does it last?

Depending on the area and product, often several months or longer. We will explain what to expect for your treatment.

Does it hurt?

The gels contain a local anaesthetic and we use numbing cream, so most people find it comfortable.

Can it be reversed?

Hyaluronic acid fillers can usually be dissolved if needed. We will talk this through beforehand.

How do I know what I need?

You do not need to know. That is exactly what the consultation is for.
